Carolyn Hamill is a third-term elected member for the Whakatāne District Council on the Whakatāne-Ōhope Community Board, and currently the Chair. She is also the Zone 2 Representative for CBEC and a Resource Consents Hearings Commissioner. Carolyn has had many years of working with community groups and is passionate about enabling communities to be stronger and more vibrant. She is particularly interested in how to ensure community boards are working effectively with councils to achieve better outcomes. Carolyn also works part-time as a small animal veterinarian. She enjoys trying to keep up with her three active children and is a proud supporter of the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty.
