Hannah’s time working as a Corrections Officer sparked her commitment to improving government decision making and its impact on frontline practice. Key projects she has led include the management of trans people in prison, development of Corrections’ first Strategy for Women, review of the legislative framework for youth justice and policy work about the role of Oranga Tamariki in early intervention. Her most recent public sector role was at the Corrections’ Office of the Inspectorate, working on the Inquiry into the riot at Waikeria Prison.
