Super Local26 Conor English

Originally a farm boy hailing from Dipton in Southland, Conor has spent the last 30 years not too far from the Beehive in Wellington.  He’s worked in the Beehive advising Ministers, been CEO of Federated Farmers, an Independent Advisor to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Monetary Policy Committee. He’s also worked in exports across Russian, Australian, Brazilian and Chinese markets and undertaken various work in Kazakhstan and Rwanda.

More latterly he’s focused on helping organisations navigate the “Wellington political ecosystem” including being the regional negotiator for the Otago Central Lakes Regional Deal process. He works with international and local clients across a wide range of sectors seeking useful solutions.

From being a farmer, service station manager, vacuum cleaner salesman, Beehive staffer, CEO, exporter, monetary policy advisor, dad of six children, cancer survivor and regional deal negotiator, Conor will talk about navigating uncertainty, making transitions and focussing on what matters.
