SuperCollab Award - Tū Kotahi

This award celebrates partnership that has delivered outcomes no single organisation could have achieved alone.  It includes collaboration with the public. The work crosses organisational boundaries, councils, iwi, community groups, businesses or other agencies. 

CRITERIA 
For the Fulton Hogan SuperCollab, Tū Kotahi Award, you must demonstrate the following: 

  • Meaningful collaboration: The creation or strengthening of a relationship that has resulted in a beneficial outcome for the community. This may be with the public; between two or more councils; or between a council and one or more groups or organisations such as an iwi/hapū, community group, not-for-profit organisation, a central government agency or a commercial enterprise.
  • Exponential impact:  The partnership or collaboration produced results greater than the sum of its parts, with each partner achieving significantly more together than they could have individually.
  • Tangible community benefit: Significant positive impacts on the community resulting from the partnership, including social, economic, environmental or cultural improvements.
  • Effective communication and cooperation: The partnership prioritised transparent and equitable communication, decision-making and conflict resolution, ensuring a productive and cooperative relationship.
  • Sustainability and longevity: The partnership’s outcomes are sustainable over the long term and highlight the lasting benefits it will bring to the community. 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Written submission of up to 1,000 words addressing each criterion with specific examples.  
  2. A 60–90 second video from colleagues, community members or stakeholders. Must be filmed on a phone in landscape format. Professionally produced content is not permitted.  
  3. Two to four supporting documents i.e. engagement materials, participation data, feedback records, or evidence of resulting policy or programme changes. These should be provided in either .pdf, .png or .jpeg format.
  4. Two PR summaries: one of 150 words or less, one of 500 words or less. These may be used in press releases or other communications if the application is shortlisted or wins.
  5. Applications must be submitted under a project or partnership name. One person should be nominated as the key contact. All partners or collaborators named in the application must have consented to the submission. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The applicant must be a current LGNZ member organisation at the time of application and at the awards ceremony.  
  • The partners or collaborators named in the application must not have been prosecuted, fined, or have charges or fines pending for a violation of any environmental, social or commercial law in New Zealand, Australia or overseas in the past three years. This applies from the time of application through to the completion of the awards process.
