Shane Jones is the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries, Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Resources, Associate Minister of Finance, and Associate Minister for Energy. 

Mr Jones entered Parliament in 2005 with the Labour Party and joined New Zealand First as an MP in 2017. 

Mr Jones was educated at St Stephen’s and has completed degrees at universities in Wellington, Western Australia, and Harvard. He has held business and public sector leadership roles such as Chairman of Sealord and our country’s first Pacific Economic Ambassador, as well as being a Member of Parliament and a Minister in government.
