Deputy Mayor, Whakatāne District Council

With a wealth of experience in the tourism industry, including serving as the former Chief Executive of the NZ Tourism Export Council, Lesley Immink now brings her expertise to her roles as Deputy Mayor of Whakatāne District Council and Chair of Te Aka Toitū, a trust focused on improving digital connectivity locally.

In a region vulnerable to various disaster risks, particularly in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, Lesley is dedicated to ensuring that the district and council are resilient and well-prepared to face any challenges that may arise.
